Braeden Ray is a 2027 RHP/2B, SS, OF with a 5-8 118 lb. frame from Weatherford, TX who attends Brock. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.08 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works quickly on the mound, gets to a high three-quarters release point, fastball topped out at 71 mph, tends to get too quick coming down the mound; fastball shows short running life when on top of the ball and mixed a curveball up to 52 mph. Fields the ball out front in the infield, short steps to the ball, shows carry on throws across the diamond and has skills to build off of moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; contact oriented approach and will continue to improve with added strength, gets the barrel out on time and shows looseness and extension out front, best contact to the middle of the field. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
