2023 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Dalton Marsh is a 2027 SS/C/3B with a 6-1 135 lb. frame from Lakewood, CO who attends Mullen. Long, thin projectable frame with a high waist. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle setup, arm is accurate, on the money one hops, actions there, fundamental process right now but has a nice base in place to build off of behind the dish. Secondary right-handed pitcher, body looks like it's made for the slope, lands closed out front, full arm circle, loose arm, nice extension out front with a higher three-quarters slot, flashed some feel to spin a low 60's curveball and got occasional cut action on the fastball, whole operation projects down the line with additional strength. Took reps in the infield, worked well laterally for size, coordinated the body, accurate arm, dropped the slot when needed, clean round out there. Right-handed hitter, high hands with a low back elbow, narrow and slightly open stance, tendency to get out front, pull side and middle of the field contact. Four line drive knocks in game off wide range of velocity, showed some intrigue on the bump as well. Named to the 2023 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Top Prospect List.
