2005 World Showcase
Devon Duby is a 2005 catcher from El Cajon, California, with a solid 6'4", 185 lb. frame. Duby was returning from a wrist injury that affected parts of his game. He showed good footwork behind the plate, and his arm strength was better during the games than during the workout. Duby is a right handed hitter with raw strength that is still developing. He had solid bat speed with a slight loft in his swing. Duby has projectable power, and we would like to see him hit when he was completely healthy. He has a very projectable body, and will be very strong when he is done growing. His best years are ahead of him.
