2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Abram Threats is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Clover, SC who attends Legion Collegiate Academy. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts his swing with a big load back, gets into his lower half well, mid field to opposite field line drive contact, can make his load more compact for more consistent timing. 7.43 runner in the sixty, primary outfielder on defense, has a good approach through the ball and a clean funnel out front, makes accurate soft throws with a long arm action through the back, arm strength will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Also took a turn on the mound, same long and loose arm action from a high leg raise delivery and extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, landed a slurve type sweeping breaking ball consistently for strikes as his second pitch. Will keep improving with repetitions and additional strength.
