Nash Wentland is a 2026 2B/RHP, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Leclaire, IA who attends Pleasant Valley. Recorded a 7.44 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with room to fill. Primary second baseman with a quick release and a short arm action, plays low to the ground. Gets to the spot early and shows a good understanding of his footwork. Developing accuracy on the throws, tends to throw uphill. Showed the ability to make plays on the move. Also worked out from the outfield, fields off the front foot and has good footwork and fundamentals overall. Gets the ball out quickly, has a compact arm action. Developing arm strength at present. Right-handed hitter with a wide stance and a high hand and back elbow set. Utilizes a no stride trigger and has balance in the swing. Gets the hands to the point of contact well enough but the barrel is light at present. Will hit for more power as he gets stronger, and can deliver the barrel out front and get it turned over. Limited lower half drive at present, will glide into the swing at times, can improve as he stays more grounded throughout the swing. Excellent student.
