Aiden Schaapveld is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Pleasant Valley. Recorded a 5.64 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame and sturdy build. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium length arm action, has a slight hitch in the motion with some effort at release, comes from a three-quarters slot. Utilizes a side step delivery with a knee to chest leg lift, lands online with average extension and finish to the plate. Command and control are still developing, will continue to improve as he can repeat the operation consistently and become more comfortable with his timing. Flashed a high spin curveball with 11-5 shape and occasional depth and a changeup as his secondaries. Secondary first baseman, fields out front with two hands and made accurate throws, footwork and glove work will continue to improve with time and reps. Right-handed hitter with an upright and open stance, has a rotational and upper body-focused swing. Has strength in the swing and looks to elevate, power will continue to show as he gets off his backside and uses the lower half more actively in the swing. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
