Joshua León is a 2027 C/RHP, OF with a 5-10 153 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Arlington. Features a medium frame with some present lower half strength. Ran an 8.06 60-yd dash. In the OF, he showed a relaxed approach waiting back at times before working through. Fielded everyball clean but glove turned over late at times. In the INF, there’s some present glove skill/feel but with avg. foot quickness and range showing some corner projection. Behind the plate, it’s solid catch/throw ability. Sets up in a taller side saddle position. Compact exchange with quality footwork that get quick out the crouch and set good direction and ground towards second. Consistent shorter arm action from all three spots with average strength. At the plate, he sits in a slightly open stance with loose hands. Uses a leg lift trigger that he starts early. Some drift into contact at times. Bat path worked flatter through the zone that cut across at times. Has avg. bat speed that flashed some quality impact to the middle of the field. On the mound, he side steps into a mid chest knee lift that he syncs with a slight drop in his backleg. Works in-line with a softer finish. Consistent shorter arm action that works up to a high ¾ slot. Consistent fastball control where he ran it up to 76. Mixed in a curveball that showed 11-5 shape that he flipped over strikes.
