Thomas Futrell is a 2027 2B/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Fulton, MD, who attends Reservoir. A compact frame and lean build. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who made throws at 76 mph across the infield with good accuracy. Worked well with his glove work and moved up the middle well making a good pick working laterally toward second. Well put together round. He also worked out as an outfielder with a compact arm action, waiting back on the ball with developing footwork. A right-handed hitter, who sets up with a wider base. He was able to drive the ball to the middle of the field with a line-drive approach. He worked uphill out front and stayed shorter too. Clean round and was able to work the other way later in his round of swings. Added a hit to his credit in-game. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a higher arm slot. He had some whip as he pulls down through release. Shorter arm action. He showed a couple of nice 12-6 shaped curveballs with depth to it. He had good shape to the pitch and showed a changeup in the mix as well, killing spin on the pitch. The fastball worked 74-77 mph consistently and paired well with his three offerings overall. Picked up a clean inning of work with a punchout on the mound. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
