Brayden Marchewka is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Shippensburg, PA who attends Commonwealth Charter Academy. Recorded a 7.38 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender build with long levers and room to still add strength. Primary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used short, choppy footwork into the fielding process, fielding out in front with two-hands mostly to stay behind the baseball fairly well. Works slightly uphill and carried some momentum into release, while recording arm strength up to 67 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a coiled leg lift into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the upper-60s, low-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 73 mph in this look. Showed developing command of the baseball, spraying the zone at times and working mostly the upper quadrant from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Will improve command with minor refinements mechanically. Mixed in a slower 11-5 breaking ball that varied in shape and at 56 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and coiled leg lift trigger. Contact oriented stroke with good hip coil and separation into contact, displayed some present bat speed and the ability to impact the baseball when on-time. Pullside approach with slightly downhill swing path and rotational lower half mechanics. Developing feel for the barrel that will improve with proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
