Shelby Navarrete is a 2023 from Odessa TX who is going into her senior year at Odessa HS. Shelby demonstrated great offensive power and showed she can be a great addition to a team looking for a stand in RH power hitter. She does a great job staying connected throughout her swing and generating good leg drive to help increase power numbers. She is a mature player who understands feel for her swing and has the ability to make in game adjustments in the box. Overall showed great power numbers in the box. Defensively she show cased at first base where she does a great job handling throws all over the infield. Ability to field cleanly and makes all the routine plays. Has room to improve on attacking bunt and getting the ball out of her glove quick. Shelby will be a great addition for a team, she has a tremendous work ethic and showed true passion for getting better and learning. Excited to see where she decided to take her game next year.
