Gabriel Showen is a 2026 RHP/2B, SS with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Charles Town, WV who attends Washington. Medium, slender frame with a a high waist, long limbs and plenty of room to add strength. Recorded a 7.83 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with deliberate pace and slightly coiled leg lift into balance. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the majority of his outing with developing command of the strike zone and topped out at 75 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Interesting growth potential with continued physical strength gains and refinements mechanically. Mixed in developing curveball with gradual depth that will continue to improve with additional velocity. Secondary middle-infielder with developing defensive skill set. Deliberate footwork, a fairly clean funnel and some lateral range. Recorded fairly accurate throws up to 76 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even base with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Whole field approach with slightly elongated swing path and developing feel for the barrel. Will continue to improve with additional strength and proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
