Brenna Borland is a 5-foot-9, class of 2025 C/3B from Dubuque, IA who attends Dubuque Senior HS. Brenna is a long and lean, athletic player who shows an emerging ability that is certain to grow as her career continues. In addition to her obvious talent on the diamond, Brenna is a standout student in the classroom. She ran a 5.99 40-yard dash and was timed at 4.13 from HP to 1B. She also posted a 5'7 1/2 standing broad jump. A primary catcher, Brenna shows a sound set-up and is an easy receiver of the ball. She shows soft hands and quick feet and transitions well to a 61-mph throwing arm that shows outstanding directional momentum towards the target. Her 1.76 pop time is outstanding. At the plate, Brenna presents with an even, balanced, and more upright stance. She has an easy approach and soft hands in and with the bunt game. Her swing path utilizes a lot of leverage, and she incorporates the lower half well. When on time and on path, she can impact the ball with authority. There is obvious power potential that should come as she continues in and with her career. Brenna is a certain prospect and as she matures physically and is exposed to higher level competition, her game is certain to take off. Her effort level is quite obvious and is commendable. A lot to like about Brenna's game and its potential.
