Luke Stelmack is a 2026 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Germantown, MD who attends Northwest. Medium, square shouldered frame with a high waist and some present strength, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.23 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, compact set up behind the plate with an even stance, transfers at the midline, occasionally works uphill at release but remains accurate, gains short ground with lower half, arm strength will continue to develop moving forward. Fields the ball out front in the infield with some bend at knee, shuffles into release and works into a shorter arm action, narrow footwork on the charge and moves to the ball well, shows some range to actions. Also pitched, short and compact arm action through the backside working to a higher three-quarters release point, generates some downhill action and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into delivery. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, filled the zone and showed comfort working to the out half; mixed a breaking ball that flashed tight shape and depth up to 66 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and upright stance with a high hand set and back elbow; gets to front side early at times with weight shift, full swing path through the zone and creates some whip to the barrel. Looks to turn over the barrel and shows some life off of the barrel when squared and on time. Good student.
