Jacob Cole is a 2028 SS/RHP, 2B, UT with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Rocklin, CA who attends Whitney. Features a smaller/lean build with plenty of room to add. Ran a 7.98 60-yd dash. Defensively, showed avg. actions. Waited back at times with approach/feet but glove worked down, on-time, and out front with noticeable feel to the backhand side. Uses a present glove tap before working into his arm action that was longer in the back and to release. At the plate, he sits in a relaxed/balanced stance. Uses a smaller leg lick trigger with a noticeable sink/engagment in his backleg/hip. Noticeable turn of the barrel that works on a slight uphill path through. Upperbody popped out connection at times but the barrel works through it well. Flashed some hand quickness and natural barrel feel throughout his round. On the mound, his delivery flashed some athleticism as well as effort. More drop/drive type mechanics. His arm works longer in the back and to a normal ¾ slot. His works slightly closed at landing. Showed solid control of his low 70s fastball and mixed in a developing low 60s breaker he leaked armside at times.
