Calvin Dossett is a 2027 1B/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Auburn, WA who attends Bellermine Prep. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with long limbs and some present strength, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, gets the glove down early, shows an idea with footwork around the base and moves with balance, accurate throws across the diamond and arm strength will continue to develop moving forward. Also pitched, brief outing on the mound; worked exclusively out of the stretch, short arm action through the back, fastball topped out at 73 mph with short sinking life, pitched to contact and flashed a changeup at 65 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread and open stance at the plate with a high back elbow; starts with weight loaded onto backside, does a nice job of staying short to the baseball, keeps hands inside throughout. Swung it well in live action and able to work to all fields, shows some quickness in hands, can get more out of lower half, full finish through the point of contact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
