Drew Kaplan is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 235 lb. frame from Oakland, CA who attends Oakland Technical. Primary first baseman with a physical build. Receives it well and showed developing arm strength with good accuracy to either corner. Waits on it patiently with quicker feet. Secondary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter slot. Fastball topped 72 mph with downhill plane, creates some occasional armside run. Curveball had some loop and slurvy action. Right-handed hitter, starts from a high hand set. Big intent in the path with present power to all fields. Uses strength in the hands to drive balls to either gap. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
