Austin Junk is a 2028 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA. Medium athletic build with some strength for his age. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a busy hand load, has good hand quickness and can get some young jump when he's squared up, best contact to left center field. 7.44 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has quick hands and a quick transfer and release on his throws, still developing his footwork and ability to gain ground into his throws. Also worked out in the infield and has solid side to side actions with developing arm strength. Plenty athletic to improve at both positions as he matures physically. also pitched, throws from a high and compact catcher's arm action, works from the stretch. Did a nice job of throwing strikes with a fastball that topped out at 71 mph.
