Whitman Craft is a 2027 2B with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends Northside Christian Academy. Young athlete with lean current build and good foundation to build on over the next few years. Primary position IF, using calculated footwork and proper angles to make plays. Presents the glove nicely out front and works fingers through the ball securing it with consistency. Deeper funnel to midline transfer and works with a lower slot on throws across the diamond. Emerging overall arm strength, throws up to 65 mph to bags with full arm action. LHH working from a narrow and open stance and turning the heel in to load pre-pitch. Good handset at the shoulders with high back elbow and clean path to impact. Swings with intent and aggression and as his physical strength grows with time, he will develop good pull power especially to the pull side. Had some nice at bats in live action, one in particular against LHP, lining a base hit over the short stops head. Young athlete with emerging strength and he is an outstanding student as well.
