Casen Pessel is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-0 83 lb. frame from Texarkana, TX who attends Hooks. Pessel works from a young build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength in the future. In the OF, he flashed good lead up footwork with directness to his routes. He remained in line with the mechanics, ultimately topping out at 60 mph. Expect the arm action to refine and velocity to improve as Pessel matures. On the mound, the lefty got the most out of his frame throwing from a lower 3/4 slot with tempo in the operation. The arsenal here will continue to improve as physical development occurs. Offensively, he started from a wide base with intent to shoot line drives back up the middle of the field. Pessel swung with aggressiveness and kept the bat path level through the zone. Ran a 8.62 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
