2023 Sunshine Mid-South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Evan Bonifield is a 2026 1B/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Fisk, MO who attends Twin Rivers. Thick durable build. Defensively, at first base he shows under control approach to the fielding point, made a clean inside turn into a accurate feed to second base. Not overly swift in any direction but functional to secure the routine. At the plate, he sets up with a wide base and open stance. The striding load he utilizes as a trigger changes his eye level and reduces his feel to barrel. However when timed up he showed some strength in the air particularly to the pull side. On the mound, he operates from a controlled and well repeated delivery. The fastball plays fairly true but the command was sporadic through the outing. The highlight of the arsenal in a downer 12-6 style breaker that produced whiffs below the zone. 8.58 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
