LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2003 World Showcase
Albritton is a solidly built RHP/OF who has athletic ability and will have a chance to be a 2-way college guy. He can hit and he knows how to hit. Excellent hitting mechanics and outstanding bat speed. He shows power potential and the ability to hit line drives with authority to all fields. That said, Albritton is very much a big time RHP who throws 90. He has a quick powerful arm stroke and keeps everything low. He uses both sides of the plate and knows what he's doing. His breaking ball is very good at 75-76 mph and sharp. He attacks hitters and means business. Shows good command of all his pitches. He looks fairly mature physically, making him tough to project, but he's real good already. He's not the tallest RHP around - 6'0". He will need to be a big time gasser to gain early round interest. He might just end up being a mid 90s guy some day. For sure he should dominate in college ball. He's very talented! He should not be overlooked as a hitter.
