Brayden Caldwell is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Hickory, NC who attends Saint Stephens. Slender athletic current build with good frame to build on and plenty of time to add physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.25 seconds. Primary position OF, moving on his feet pretty well fielding the ball square and working a deeper midline transfer. Quick full inline arm path and the ball really jumps out of his hand. Saw throws up to 81 mph accurately back to the infield. Reps on the IF, same hop to his step with a bit of a late glove securing the ball. Secondary position RHP, working from the stretch exclusively using high leg lift and stays directionally strong down the mound. Medium inline arm path to a 3/4 arm angle with some repeatability. FB up to 77 mph, living in the mid-70s with lower, sinker-type spin traits. Can really spin the ball, showing nice SL in the upper-60s that tunnels well with his heater. RHH starting from a wide and even start, good handset with high leg lift trigger to get loaded. Really get the hands going and swings with intent. Middle of the field approach with easy natural loft as he turns his core well through impact. Hit tool is evident and had a couple really hard barrels in line AB situations. Excellent student and nice two-way skill set.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
