Ayden Smith is a 2024 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Elkhorn, WI who attends Elkhorn. A taller frame with a slender build and length throughout. Projectable body. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with projectable actions showing. He has a larger rocker step into his delivery, getting the leg lift up above the belt. He filled up the zone and was effective overall. Pitched from a three-quarters arm slot. He gets into the lower half as he moves down the mound, pushing off with good extension as part of his delivery. He threw 3.0 innings during his outing, punching out 5 opposing hitters while keeping the opposition off the bases entirely. A right-handed hitter with strength showing. Gets the barrel out in front and was able to work the middle of the field with line drives during his round of BP. Worked out as an outfielder during the defensive part of the workout. He worked to the ball well with aggressive actions. He carried the momentum through release, showing off a shorter arm stroke. Threw 77 mph from the outfield. Also worked out as an infielder during the defensive portion of the workout. Got the glove down and made the plays with the feet carrying him to the ball. Threw 78 mph across the diamond. Good student.
