2023 14U Texas All-State Games
Giovanni Carassai is a 2027 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Marcus. Slender, lanky build with more to fill. Ran a 7.40 in the sixty. Outfielder, glove down on time and clean funnel. Solid accuracy to the bag and moves well on his charge. First baseman, fundamental in all facets and works from mid slot. Quick turn to the bag. Also pitched, high three-quarter slot with subtle angle to release from compact arm action. Feel for hard slurve actioned breaker with bit of cut action to the fastball. Potent mix over a short look. Right-handed hitter, open stance with high hand set. Longer swing path works barrel out front and controls it well. Stayed mostly to the opposite field, while the arm talent showed.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
