Aaron Hernandez is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Cathedral. In the infield, showed quick footwork laterally with strong throws across. At the plate, he sets up with an even base with a simple striding load. The bat path is direct with approached geared through the middle. On the mound, the mechanics are very repeatable with fluid throwing motion out of a high three-quarters slot, medium effort thrower with drop and drive tendencies. The command of the fastball (77-81) was terrific, filling up the zone mostly down at the knees to either side of the plate. Additionally, showing occasional arm side run.The offspeed we saw was a loopy 12-6 curveball at 61-63 with decent depth, getting reachy swings from opposing hitters but not a fully polished offering as of yet. Works down the plane well with solid extension and could easily see him being an asset with the mechanics and frame that he brings. 8.16 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
