Isaiah Martin is a 2027 SS with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lane Technical. Medium, athletic frame with present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well and shows athleticism in actions, will continue to refine timing, fields the ball out front, active footwork through the ball, shows carry on throws across the diamond with present arm strength. Showed well in the outfield, moves to it well with quickness to feet and works through the ball well, arm strength plays on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and crouch stance, loads hands back at start of swing. Upper body dominant swing and can incorporate lower half moving into contact. Hands work and shows bat speed through the zone with a present handle for the barrel, repeats mechanics well, more to unlock moving forward.
