Brock Matteson is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Goodyear, AZ who attends Desert Edge. Features a tall, lean build with room to add. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder. Displayed sound actions during defensive workouts with good footwork into the catchpoint. Charges balls with intent. Transfers cleanly into accurate throws. Pulls down well using an overhead arm slot, reaching 77 mph during workouts. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a unique lower hand setup. Swings on a slightly lofted path with hand speed present. Approach is geared toward the pullside. get the bat head out front at times and drive balls that way. Developing consistent timing would allow power to play more regularly.
