Luis Díaz is a 2026 C/1B/3B with a 5-11 204 lb. frame from Santa Isabel, PR who attends Sarasota High. A bigger frame with a thicker build. Some strength showing in the frame as well. Ran an 8.33 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with open feet and a side saddle replaces his feet underneath and kept throws in the tag zone. A smooth and quick arm action, getting it done behind the plate. Also nabbed a runner at second with a quick catch-and-throw from behind the dish in-game. He also worked out as a first baseman with strong legs and some arm strength on throws to second base. He moved well and had decent hands. Moved well and got the throws on target. A left-handed hitter with some thump off the barrel with hard contact. He swung hard with strength during his round of BP. Starts super wide with some physicality. He gets the foot down quickly and controlled the barrel the whole round being able to drive the ball well pull-side. He had 2 hits in-game being able to find the barrel and produce line drives for base hits.
