Michael Busa is a 2025 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Lake Norman. Young athlete with medium frame and overall build currently, but a lot of time to grow. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.73 seconds. Primary C, working from a good low setup, good game like actions and emerging overall feel for the glove. Really projects longterm behind the dish, generated throws up to 70 mph and a 2.21 pop time best. Also performed well on the mound, working from the 3B side of rubber and loading well over the rubber. Breaks hands at chest, leading to a deep arm path slightly behind his torso as he accelerates through a low-3/4 arm angle. Fluid operation getting down mound well and mixed 3 pitches for strikes. FB up to 78 to all parts of zone, SL with small two-plane shape and good spin profile backed up by a workable CH in the mid-60's with deceptive tumbling action. RHH using a wide stance, shifting weight to backside for load and using his arms/torso to deliver barrel. More bat speed to come with strength and maturity, best bolts were in the middle of the field on line. Elite performer in the classroom and the look of an offensive catcher down the line.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
