2022 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Nate Beck is a 2026 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Camarillo, CA who attends Adolfo Camarillo. Small lean frame that showed decent action with the glove in the outfield to pair with developing arm strength. At the plate, he sets up with even base, moderate leg kick into a hearty load. The bat path was direct to the baseball with long finish through. The bat speed is still developing with some barrel control to pepper balls to the opposite field. On the mound, he delivers with long arm action and release out of a high three-quarters slot. He could benefit from some firming up of the front side and gaining a bit more linear direction down the plane. He showed advanced feel to land a round 11-5 breaker in any count. 7.74 60-yard. Outstanding student.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
