James Maccarone is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends SLAM. Medium sized, proportional frame. In the box; starts with an open stance and toe-tsp trigger. Employed a middle approach in his BP round and was able to square it up numerous times. Current gap power. Defensively shows his athleticism at both the infield and outfield positions by using proper foot/glove mechanics, and smooth transfers. Arm plays at both positions with carry to the bases and across the diamond. On the mound; starts on the first base side to try and create a good angle to the hitters. A strike thrower that used a heavy diet of fastballs. Showed a repeatable delivery and the ability to get outs proficiently. Clocked a 6.8 60-yard dash.
