We've seen Contreras several times this past year. His infield actions always stand out. He projects very much as a 3B at the pro level. Strong arm, great instincts, excellent hands. In Ft Myers he put on a hitting display that created a lot of scout interest. He showed quick hands and big league bat speed, all of it under control. The ball jumped off his bat like it was a golf ball. He displayed serious power potential and should hit home runs at the next level. The only thing Lester lacks is blazing running speed. He does run the bases very well however. There's no doubt that he can play and play at the highest levels. We think there's a good chance he might start his pro career later this year. If he shows that same bat this Spring scouts are going to get excited.
