Devon Dowdell is a 2023 SS with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Americus, GA who attends Americus Sumter County High South. Big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a big lift and replace leg raise that doesn't create lower half shift, upper body swing that can get mistimed, works to mid field when on time, can get into his strong lower half better to create more power and bat speed. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, made the routine play very well in the games, makes accurate throws with a quick release, consistent glove work with a quick release, likely best suited for third base in the future. Excellent student.
