Josiah (Jojo) Saleem is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-9 173 lb. frame from Olive Branch, MS who attends Briarcrest Christian. Athletic young build with good present strength and room for more. 7.02 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, showed very good range moving into the alleys on fly balls, tracks the ball well and runs good rounds, aggressive to balls on the ground but tends to chop his momentum to throw, speed is an asset for him. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread slightly open stance, big barrel wrap to start his swing creates length and timing issues, swings hard and has some bat speed, can impact the ball when the barrel gets out front, can get into his twitchy lower half better for more bat speed. Took a turn on the mound, medium length arm stroke with an over the top arm slot. Fastball worked in the mid-70's with some heavy sink at the plate when down in the zone. Still developing his secondary pitches and consistency. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
