Rory O'Neill is a 2027 3B/RHP, OF with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from Galesville, WI who attends West Salem. He has a medium frame with a thick, sturdy build and present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Primary third baseman that has deliberate footwork and is able to work into good fielding positions. He fields the ball out in front of his body and transfers the ball cleanly. He throws from a lower arm slot and was able to make all of the plays. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch. He uses a small leg kick to start his motion and does a nice job of sitting into his back hip while he drives down the mound. He works in line with the plate and uses a medium arm action while firing from a 3/4 slot. He works the fastball to all four quadrants of the zone. Also worked out in the outfield, showing good footwork to, and through, the baseball. He made solid, low throws that had one hop accuracy to the base. Right-handed hitter that starts in a narrow and open base with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses an inward stride for timing and showed the ability to create nice barrel whip through the zone. He has an up-the-middle approach with the ability to turn on an inside pitch and leverage it to the pull side. He did a nice job of staying on balance through the process.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
