Franky Mangual is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Canovanas, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. A medium frame with a thicker build. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a very open base to set up, with the weight on the right leg with the left leg extended. He catches out front and works into a shorter arm action and quicker release. Threw 75 mph down to second and produced a 1.98 pop time on his throws. A right-handed hitter with a wider base and higher set hands with the back elbow up. Had some loft to the swing and was able to work to the middle of the field during his round of BP with a good approach. Good weight transfer as he gets onto his backside before working through the zone with the barrel to get to the ball on-time.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
