Luke Schaning is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from West Allis, WI who attends Nathan Hale. Solid athletic frame. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Outfielder with speed and athleticism in the outfield, moves well, shows fundamental footwork to the baseball, works through the ball and shows a present strong arm with developing arm strength. Real chance to play the position with both above average speed and arm strength. Hit from an even base with leg lift timing, consistently on time, will push the hands through the zone some but does so while staying on plane with a pitch. Combination of strength and hand speed in the swing to general bit barrel whip and jump off the barrel. Consistently quality at-bats in game getting to the barrel regularly. Lots of developable traits and abilities on both sides of the ball here. Named to Sunshine Midwest Top Prospect List. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
