Matthew Rodriguez is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Paso Robles, CA. Small lean frame with confident approach in the outfield, he showed proper footwork and sound glove technique. The arm strength is average but easy to project more coming in the near future. At the dish, its a rigid set up with minor leg lift load into the back side. The barrel wrap he employs makes the timing somewhat inconsistent but looked good and sounded loud when he got it off on time. On the mound, high effort athletic right-handed pitcher with quick mechanics and arm action. Fastball (68-71) generates decent carry through the mitt with some arm side life from a three-quarters slot. Breaker tended to have short break and received a bunch of off balanced hacks (60-61). He had a ton of success just filling up the zone throughout a couple high quality innings of work. 8.21 60-yard. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
