Jaxon Pickard is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-9 149 lb. frame from Springdale, AR who attends Har-Ber. Recorded a 7.06 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean and compact build. Primary shortstop, fields off the front foot and keeps everything compact. Short gather into the throw and gets it out quick. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a chest high leg kick and a medium length stride down the mound. Rotational mechanics landing in line with the plate with a longer arm action and bringing the arm through from a higher three- quarter arm slot. Gets some downhill tilt on the fastball (1653 RPM) and works up in the zone with a lower release height to it. The curveball (1366 RPM) has some vertical bite with looser spin. Confident in the mix working all four quadrants. Left-handed hitter, starts from an even base and square stance with even hands and back elbow, utilizes a knee-to-knee load. Flat swing path with average bat speed. Solid average feel for the barrel that is looking to pull with solid line drive contact. Intriguing player with good upside. Great student.
