Gavin Aldea is a 2027 2B/RHP/3B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Brunswick, GA who attends Glynn Academy. Young, thin frame that will grow over time. Ran a 8.01 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, slower approach to the baseball, fields it cleanly out front, tends to glove pat multiple times, developing feel for backhand, longer arm action in the back, arm plays better right now on the right side of the infield. Right-handed hitter, even and upright stance with a hooked front leg, high hands and back elbow set, swing works as it is short and simple, worked the middle of the field with shorter line drives in this round. Had a couple of line drive putouts in game, showed an ability to get the barrel on live pitching. Fundamental base is here with some good parts to the swing, will greatly benefit from added strength across the frame as he continues to grow. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
