Cooper Tarlie is a 2025 C/MIF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Newton, MA who attends Belmont Hill. Medium, broad shouldered frame with a high waist and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 6.97 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from an even, wider base with quick footwork out of the crouch, a short and direct mid-line transfer, and quick release. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 76 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and a negative loading mechanism with his lower half. Whole field approach with quickness to his hands, some leverage out in-front when on-time and developing feel for the barrel. Displayed the ability to impact the baseball with heavy hands and some strength in his wrists. Showed some gap-to-gap power potential and plenty of things to project on, will continue to improve with some timing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student. Named to the 2022 Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
