Jack Beard is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends Loudoun County. Young, projectable build with lean muscle present throughout his frame with room remaining to be filled. 7.14-second runner during the sixty. Primary outfielder, fields off to the side displaying proper and deliberate footwork as he worked through the ball. Showcased some easy arm strength with carry on his throws to he plate, up to 82 mph to the bases. Looked very comfortable in the outfield with a strong feel for the position. Secondary left-handed pitcher, worked with a quick tempo, repeating his athletic operation well. Looseness to his action, coming from a 3/4 slot, using his long levers to get down the slope. Showcased three-pitch mix, mixing well as he landed all three for strikes. Came in to right-handers with his fastball, working in the 75-79 mph range, topping out at 80 mph during his outing. Right-handed hitter, sets up with an even, balanced stance, and a high-hand set. Line-drive, compact stroke with some quickness to his hands, displaying some middle-of-the-field impact when on time with his leg-lift-trigger. Put together a consistent round during BP displaying some feel for the barrel. Excellent student.
