Gilbert Beltran is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Socorro. Medium frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically. Ran a 6.96 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, good first step proving to have range. Breaks down into fielding the baseball and does so cleanly. Quick transfer and release with a fluid arm stroke. Accurate with throws up to 79 mph. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, busy motion as he lifts to the belt before working down the hill. Stays high in the release before with a three-quarter arm slot. Creates angle and generates arm side run on the fastball. Topped at 81 mph with spin rates just shy of 2,000 rpm. Mixed in a changeup in the low-70's. Right-Handed Hitter, open stance with compact hands. Small forward stride before working into a flat path. Middle of the field approach and proved he could square it up. Will generate more pop with a strength gain. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
