Ayden Calmes is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-8 141 lb. frame from Damacor, CU who attends Radulphus College Curacao. Slender high waisted build with lots of physical projection and growth ahead. Right handed hitter, hits from an open start with a hanging leg lift trigger into his swing, has good hand strength and some raw bat speed, trying to stay inside the ball, gets some jump off the barrel when squared up, tends to get too far out front at times. Showed good arm strength in the infield. Took a turn on the mound and has talent as a pitcher. Long and loose arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot, long stride down the mound. Fastball worked in the low 70's and up to 74 mph, worked his fastball to both sides of the plate well. Showed very good feel for landing a soft curveball with consistent 11/5 shape. Also dropped in some change ups with fading action while showing the ability to mix and sequence his pitches with maturity. Very good student. Named to the 13U/14U Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
