Alex Sangiorgi is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Stony Brook, NY who attends Ward Melville Senior. High waisted, lean frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a developing defensive skill set. Showed some range to either side with a slightly deep funnel and developing arm strength up to 65 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with belt high leg lift into balance and medium stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 70 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Repeats delivery well, showed some cutting action to the fastball to miss barrels to both sides of the plate and mixed in slower, big breaking curveball with gradual depth as go-to secondary offering. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, even base with a tight, flatter hand start and high back elbow. Incorporates a toe-tap trigger and rotational lower half to get the swing going. Whole field approach with developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel. Will continue to improve with proper timing and swing adjustments, along with additional strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
