Andrew Kali is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Hubbard, OH who attends Hubbard. Recorded a 7.20 second sixty yard dash time. High-waisted with a medium frame with room to fill. Primary shortstop, good backhand with some range and good footwork. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a chest-high leg kick with a longer stride down the mound. Shorter arm action with a low release point. The fastball (2044 RPM) was mid-to-upper 70s and topped out at 80, worked well on the top of the zone with some arm-side life. Showed the curveball (2158 RPM) that was a quality secondary pitch with 12-6 shape and downward action with some horizontal bite. Curveball showed more 11-5 shape in his second inning that was effective working low and away in the zone. Minimal effort at release with some arm speed. Gets good movement on the mix and working low in zone. Mixed locations well and was able to attack up and in late in counts to put away hitters. Worked the edges of the plate well. Ease out of the hand with some more velocity coming as the mechanics and frame mature. Right-handed hitter, starts from an even base with a square stance and high hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a step and stride with a minimal leg lift. Rotational swing that loads deep and separates well. Flips the hips for some lift and leverage. Driving it well in the air all over the field. Good bat speed that works to middle of the field when he's timed up. Exciting player with a high ceiling. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
