Nolan Pontius is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends IMG Academy. Recorded a 7.83 sixty yard dash at the event. Smaller, young frame with plenty of physical development left to be had. Primary infielder. High-waisted infielder. Moves to the ball with intent and okay footwork. Plays low to the ground and funnels through the middle of his body. Longer arm action for SS. Accurate throws with developing arm strength as the frame matures. Secondary right-handed pitcher. Works exclusively from the stretch position. Hides the ball well on the mound. Repeatable delivery. Just not enough arm strength and movement on pitches, to generates swings-and-misses currently. Fastball topped at 68 mph. Right-handed hitter. Loose, athletic swing that generated some pull-side contact during BP. Has some intent and feel to drive the ball to the pull-side. Struggled to impact the ball to the opposite field. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
