Giovanni Addona is a 2027 C/3B/MIF/OF with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends Massapequa. Addona works from a young athletic looking build with room to add strength and physically develop as a '27 prospect. Starting behind the dish, he used a slight side saddle set with ground gained in the footwork to produce accurate throws on the bag and post a 2.41 pop time. He displayed a mid-line transfer with additional arm strength and overall fluidity coming in the future. From the IF, Addona displayed good lateral range with active footwork and refining glove work to ultimately top out at 69 mph across the diamond. He touched 73 mph from the OF and worked through the ball well to produce throws around the bag. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open base with a leg lift trigger to produce consistent contact to the middle of the field. He repeated the stroke well with power becoming more prominent in the future. Posted an exit velo of 75 mph. Ran a 7.92 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
