Reid Kaluger is a 2024 RHP/OF/IF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Redondo Beach, CA who attends Redondo Union. Big and strong athletic build. Has an abbreviated wind up on the mound and works downhill well, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, threw his fastball often early in counts to get ahead, gets nice arm side running life on the fastball. Slider was his out pitch this outing, produced lots of swing/miss and weak contact. Also mixed in a change up. Pretty mature approach on the mound. 6.97 runner in the sixty. Plays all over the field on defense. Moves well for his size on the dirt and has a strong arm across, plenty of tools and athleticism for third base as well as the outfield. Right handed hitter, sets up with a high hand start, has strength in his swing and turns his hips hard, hits under control. Quality two-way prospect. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
