Nathan Wong is a 2027 MIF/RHP, OF with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lane Technical. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, lots of room to develop physically moving forward. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well on feet and shows clean actions throughout, has lateral range to either side and fundamentally sound, plays with balance, arm works across the diamond with carry. Longer strides to the ball in the outfield, quickness to gather and release with arm strength on throws to the intended base. Also pitched, compact arm action through the backside with a shorter stride coming down the mound. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, short life to it through the zone and pitched to contact, flashed occasional cut action when working to the glove side; developing curveball up to 60 mph with some shape. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread and even stance in the box, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Quick and short stroke through the zone with consistent feel for the barrel, repeats mechanics well. Has tools to build off of moving forward, best working on a line and picked up some hard contact in live action as well. Excellent student. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
